The Canterbury Wizards vs. Northern Knights HRV Series T20 match will take place on 12th January, 2014. The Hagley Oval Stadium is also the home ground of the Canterbury Wizards. The capacity of this stadium is 20,000. Both the Canterbury Wizards and the Northern Knights are very strong contenders for winning the HRV T20 Series. This is why this match is going to be mind blowing for New Zealand cricket fans.

Peter Fulton is the captain of the Canterbury while Bob Carter is their coach. They have won the Plunket Shield fifteen times, the Ford Trophy thirteen times and the HRV Cup one time. They won the HRV Cup back in 2005-2006. It was founded in the year 1864. Some of the star players of the Canterbury Wizards are Peter Fulton, Todd Astle, Andy Ellis, Brendon McCullum, Craig Kieswetter, Michael Papps, Johan van der Wath, Shane Bond, Dirk Nannes and Hamish Bennett. The Wizards have any good batsmen, bowlers, all rounders and wicket keepers.

The Northern Knights were founded in the year 1955. They are new as compared to other domestic cricket teams of New Zealand. Scott Styris is their captain while Grant Brandburn is their coach. Although their roots are not age old but they still have quite a few wins in their pocket. They won the Plunket Shield eight times and the Ford Trophy seven times. They are going to give the Canterbury Wizards a very good competition on the field. The scales are equal on both sides. You have to wait till the very last ball of the game to find out who goes home a winner.
