Australia Team Squad for Champions Trophy 2013

I think this is a very balanced side they have chosen. In terms of batting they have quite good batsman like David Andrew Warner, Adam Charles Voges and they will lead the batting attack from their side.

On the other hand, the Bowling side also looks very strong to me. The inclusion of James Peter Faulkner is really a good idea by the Australian side. He has shown great performance in this IPL season and is leading the chart with the top figures in this IPL season. On the other side, the all rounder of IPL seasons, Shane Robert Watson_ is really going to benefit the Australian side.

Australian selection board is quite good in terms of selecting their players. They have a strong management system that tracks the performance of the players as per the condition of different countries and they select players on the basis of that only.

 Although we are never satisfy by the teams that are selected by boards, but surely this team has all the players that we wanted. I hope this 11 people squad will do great in the upcoming championship trophy.

I am looking for the team of South African side; let’s see what are the players they will select for the championship trophy. Till then all fingers are crossed. 

As on paper, this Australian team looks the weakest since ever.

Earlier we probably saw the likes of best explosive batsmen in the world in the form of Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden and followed by Ricky Ponting and Damien Martin. The came in Andrew Symonds and Michael Bevan. What a strong and rigid batting line up was that. Simply amazing. And they have hat tricks of World Cup won with almost same batting line up.

Then the list of best bowlers who always helped them with early wickets or breaking crucial partnerships or defending a big/small total. Glenn Mcgrath along with Gillispie was flame throwers. Either Andy Bichel would come or Brett Lee would kill with bowls well directed to the body. When pace did n't work, Shane Warne would bowl his turners and turn around the game.

Looking at current Australian team, we cannot see any body who has replaced Brett Lee and Glenn Mcgrath.

Neither nobody has replaced Matthew Hayden. If Warner can be considered replacement for Adam Gilchrist and Clarke for Ponting and Symongs with Watson, Hayden and Martyn void is still left out.

Biggest void that can never be filled is Shane Warne. Australia never had any specialist spinner other than Warne and looks like they will never be able to get one. Middle order bowling is hurt because of this in ODIs and mostly in tests.

Even winning Ashes will be a great challenge for them.
