Although west indies is going through internal tension with
their cricket board, but that did not deterred to perform good overseas.
Firstly they put a good score against India. West Indies scored a total of 321
runs in which Samuels scored the century. Well when this much size total is
there, you certainly have an edge over the opponent. Although the stadium had
shorter boundaries. But that could not go in the favor of India.
Indian openers gave a good start in the beginning. But then
Rahane got run out at score of 24 runs in 22 balls. Well the next batsman to
come in was Kohli. A lot of things were expected from him, being the experienced
[layer in the team. But he was just able to score 2 runs, when Jerome Taylor
bowler a good ball, he was caught by Sammy. Now India was at 55 runs, in 9.5
overs with loss of 2 wickets.
Rayudu
and Dhawan tried to stable the condition. As Dhawan came at the first place, he
was comfortable with the pitch condition. But on the other hand, West Indies bowlers
were really good in their attack. At the end of the 16th over, India
got another shock in the form of Rayudu getting out. He scored 13 runs in 21
balls.
