Indian team wins yet another ODI against England - The third ODI match of the Royal London cup was to be played at the Trent Bridge. Before this game the team India was already at the lead of 1-0. In this match England was under pressure as it was a must win game for them if they wanted to have some chance in the series. The Indian side after winning the toss decided to field first. Batting first Alastair Cook and ANDREW Hales managed to give their team a good start. Cook scored 44 runs while Hales scored 42 runs. Both the batsmen lost their wicket after reaching a score of 93/2 in 21st over. This was the breakthrough that Indian team were looking for. The men in Blue managed to make a good comeback and took some real quick wickets leaving the team under pressure. The English side found themselves standing at a score of 149/6. Jos Buttler and James Tredwell scored 42 runs and 30 runs respectively to take their team to a total of 227 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets in the match.

Indian side got a great start chasing a total of 228 runs as Ajinkya Rahane scored 45 runs while Virat Kohli scored 40 runs taking their team to a score of 120/3. The men in blue seemed to be in a great luck as the young Indian brigade kept making dents on the bowling line up of England. Ambati Rayudu who came as a replacement of injured Rohit Sharma scored unbeaten 64 runs. While Suresh Raina scored 42 runs on the other hand to take the team to victory. Team India successfully chased down the limited score of 228 runs with 7 overs remaining. With this win the men in blue reached leads the series by 2-0. Ravichandran Ashwin won the man of the match award.
