India demolish England winning by 90 runs

India faced England in a match that would decide the topper of Group A and as the game ended it looked a pretty one sided match from India’s point of view. They won by a huge margin of 90 runs and it was an all round performance from the team. England won the toss and elected to bowl first on a pitch that looked to help the bowlers. It was a surprise when Dhoni announced that he had made four changes in the team that had beaten Afghanistan in the previous match. England on the other hand made just one change. India started off shakily with the new opening pair of Gambhir and Pathan looking to hike each and every ball but in the end Pathan did not manage to do too much and was bowled by Finn. Virat Kohli also departed quickly making 40 and then came Rohit Sharma who made a huge impact on the match. He was not out for 55 and was aptly supported by Gambhir who made 45. India went on to make 170 of their 20 overs.

England on the other was just poor with their batting. Except for 3 batsmen, no one of them could reach the double figure mark and Harbhajan Singh was very impressive with the bowling. He picked up 4 wickets in his spell of 4 overs giving away only 14 runs. On a surprising note England had 2 wicket maiden overs in their innings which is very rare when it comes to T20 cricket. Piyush Chawla and Irfan Pathan also picked up 2 wickets each and Ashok Dinda picked up 1.
