Nagenahira Nagas is a first class franchise team of Sri Lankan domestic cricket which represents Eastern Province and is been formed in the year 2012 along with Sri Lanka Premier League. The team is liable to participate in the Sri Lankan Premier League and the other domestic twenty20 tournaments held in the country as well overseas. The team is owned by Varun Beverages Lanka Private Limited who has made a winning bid of $3.22 million. They are the owner of this team for next seven years. The team has participated in the first edition of the tournament. Angelo Matthews is the current captain of the team.
