Mohammad Javed Ahmadi was born on 2nd January 1992. This young cricketer plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team. He is also known as Mohammad Jawed and is a right hand batsman. Javed also bowls right arm off break. Ahmadi is a huge fan of the Australian player, Michael Clarke. Ahmadi’s debut in international cricket was through a List A match. He played for the Afghanistan cricket team and against Scotland on July 9th 2010 at Rotterdam. Ahmadi scored 34 runs off 51 balls. His debut in First Class matches was against Kenya at Nairobi on 2nd October 2010. Afghanistan won the match by 167 runs. Ahmadi’s first step into One Day International cricket was on the 9th of July 2010. The match was against Scotland at Rotterdam. Ahmadi’s first T20 International was at Dubai on 14th March 2012 against Netherlands. Afghanistan won the match by 4 wickets.

While Ahmadi was a member of the Afghanistan Under-19 squad, the team qualified for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup of 2010 in New Zealand. This was the first time that the team had qualified. Ahmadi played for Afghanistan in the tour of Scotland that took place in 2010. Ahmadi is as active off the field as he is on field. He is a diligent cricketer and believes Michael Vaughan’s batting style is akin to his style of wielding the willow.
