Dr DY Patil Sports Academy
Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai is one of the finest and most popular cricket grounds of India. This stadium has been designed by none other than the contractor Hafeez who is considered to be the best architects of his time. This stadium was opened in the year 2008 with a couple of international matches being played on this ground. It is also the home ground of the Mumbai Indians with the players practicing on this ground and playing the domestic matches as well. Apart from being a cricket ground, this stadium is also open to other games and therefore it has 9 tennis courts and 4 badminton courts. The players come here for their regular practice sessions with the coaches assisting them. One of the best features of this stadium is the huge seating capacity of 60, 000 people which make it one of the biggest venues for the international cricket. The stadium has hosted the IPL series as well as the final match of the last IPL series as well. The cricket ground has one of the best music system and the first in India to have such a facility. The roof of this ground has been imported from Germany with a great atmosphere to be enjoyed by the fans.
