A position which all refuse to do and this young lad got that work finely and it is a rarity among the Bangladesh cricketers. He was thrust into the test team for the maiden tour of England with just a five first class cricket in his hand. He made his test debut against Sri Lanka in September 2005 and made 51 in the second match that got starts in all the ODI games and converted just a single fifty. He also won Bangladesh’s cricketer of the year. His batting was so instrumental which was helpful in 5-0 washout against Zimbabwe .his batting form was slipping day by day until the year of 2008 he took the offer of ICL and joined the Bangladesh exodus to ICL ,and was handed contract the subsequent year but he was called by the nation for the tri-series against Asian giants. When he was put into the team no one was there to stand for him and now all players want him to be the part of the team.
