The second T20 match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was held at Gaddafi Stadium at Lahore in Pakistan on 25th Jan 2020. After winning the toss, the team Bangladesh decided to bat first in this crucial match. There was one change on the Bangladesh side where Mahedi Hasan was included replacing Mohammad Mithun. The skipper of Bangladesh team Mahmudullah opted for batting first on this pitch with more grass and assumed to have a better score, but the team succumbed to a score of 136 only with the loss of 6 wickets. Tamim Iqbal was the batsman with the highest score from team Bangladesh who made 65 runs from 53 balls. Afif Hossain contributed 21 runs while Mahmudullah scored 12 runs. None of the rest of the batsmen could run for a double-digit score. From team Pakistan, Mohammad Hasnain took two wickets.

Chasing the score of 136 team Pakistan lost the first wicket at the score of 6 runs only when Ahsan Ali was caught without opening account. However, there was nothing to worry as Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez played well and hit the bowlers from the host team across the ground. They both made fifty and lifted the team from the early setback. Bangladeshi bowlers could not show the magic of their pace as well as spin bowling attack. Mohammad Hafeez and Babar Azam stood not out till the end of the match when, in the 17th over only, they achieved the target of 136, which was set by the team Bangladesh. Babar Azam, who made 66 runs from 44 balls, was awarded man of the match trophy. From the Bangladesh side, only Shafiul Islam was a bowler who could get a wicket in the form of Ahsan Ali. With this win, Pakistan led the series by 2-0 in the series of 3 matches of T20.
