The 3rd and final test match of the 3-match West Indies tour of England series was held from July 24 to 28 of 2020, at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. This was the series deciding match as the series was levelled by 1-1. Joe Root the English captain managed a good strong batting order for this match. West Indian captain Jason Holder won the toss and chose to field first.

On batting first English opener Rory Burns scored a brilliant half century and made 57 runs. Buttler and Pope scored good runs and helped England to get a total of 369 runs. Pope scored the most 91 runs for England and Buttler scored 67 runs. Stuart Broad also played beautiful inning of 62 runs. For West Indies, K Roach took most 4 wickets.

West Indian batting collapsed early of and not even a single batsman could score a half century. Captain Holder made most 46 runs for West Indies while wicket-keeper batsman Dowrich scored 37 runs. West Indies team scored 197 runs in their 1st innings. Stuart Broad took 6 wickets in 1st innings for England.

In 2nd inning, both the English opener played aggressive cricket and scored good runs for England. R Burns scored 90 runs while D Sibley scored 56 runs. Captain Root also played not out 68 runs inning. England declared their innings on 226/2 runs and gave a target of 399 runs to West Indies team.

West Indian team got all out on just 129 runs and England won the 3rd test by 269 runs. Shai Hope scored most 31 runs in 2nd innings for West Indies. It was the discipline by seam bowlers of England which helped them to conquer the victory. Broad took 4 and Woakes took 5 wickets in 2nd inning. Stuart Broad was selected as Player of the match for his brilliant performance.
