The 2nd match of the T20 International series between South Africa and England was played on February 14, Friday at Kingsmead, Durban, in South Africa. South African team was leading in series by 1-0. It was a must-win match for England team to stay alive in series. South African captain De Kock won the toss and chose to field first.

England opener Buttler got out early in the inning, and hence openers did not give a solid start to the team. Ben Stokes scored the most 47 runs for England. M. Ali finished the England innings with brilliant 39 runs in just 11 balls. L Ngidi took the most 3 wickets for South Africa. England put a total of 204 runs in their 20 over, and it was a massive target for South African batting line up. 

South African openers gave a brilliant start to the team and made a partnership of 92 runs for 1st wicket. Captain De Kock led the team from the front and played an unbelievable inning of 65 runs in just 22 balls. Van Der Dussen and Pretorius played good innings for the team and scored 43 and 25 runs, respectively. South African batsmen did perfect calculations for this chase, and it was only 15 runs needed in the last 6 balls of the match. Tom Curran took the responsibility to bowl the final over for England. It was only 3 runs needed in the last 2 balls, but the bowler executed his plan at the right time and won the match for his team. South Africa could not chase the target, and left 3 runs short by victory. 

England won this match by just 2 runs. England also leveled the series by 1-1. Moeen Ali was selected as player of the match for his brilliant 11 balls 39 runs. Both the captains looked happy with the performance of their team.
