Mumbai emerge victorious as the Royals batting order collapses - The 32nd match of the Indian Premiere League was played at the Wankhede in Mumbai. This match was being played between the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai had one of the worst starts to the tournament losing every match. On the other hand the Royals had a great start to the tournament winning it all but lately they were ending up on the losing side. A win for both the teams was important here. In this match after winning the toss the Royals decided to field first.

Lendl Simmons and Parthiv Patel gave the team a good start. They took their team to a total of 43 runs in 4.5 overs. This was a fast start to the game. Patel after scoring 23 runs lost his wicket here. Unmukt Chand the young batsmen came into bat with Simmons. They together batted for 30 odd runs before Simmons after scoring 38 runs lost his wicket too. Chand too was not able to survive longer and lost his wicket in the 11th over after scoring only 13 runs. Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu came in to bat for the team. They played some shots before Rohit got out after scoring 27 runs. The end stages were handled by Rayudu as he scored 53 runs off 27 balls to give Mumbai a score of 187 runs to defend.

Rajasthan had a tough task of chasing the big score. Ajinkya Rahane and Shane Watson gave their team a start of only 30 runs when Rahane after scoring only 16 runs lost his wicket in the 4th over. Sanju Samson joined in with Watson and scored some really important runs. Watson after scoring 28 runs lost his wicket in the 9th over. Smith too was unable to do much with the bat as he lost his wicket after scoring only 23 runs.
