Rajasthan Royals wins their 4th consecutive match in IPL 8 - Rajasthan Royals had been the most successful team in the current Indian Premiere League season. They emerged victorious in all the matches played and today in the 11th match of the tournament they were looking to fight it against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Visakhapatnam. In this match the Rajasthan Royals after winning the toss decided to field first.

Hyderabad last match won chasing and displayed a good batting performance and lot was expected from the top order once again. This time around the team failed as they lost early wickets to get in the back-foot. The Royals bowled few good overs to put Hyderabad in a tight spot at 35/5. David Warner was run-out when he was batting at 21 runs. Naman Ojha along with Eoin Morgan took the team to a total of 87 in 14 overs. Ojha after scoring 25 runs lost the wicket in the 15th over. Morgan too was unable to last long as he lost his wicket in the 17th over after scoring 27 runs. Ravi Bopara and Ashish Reddy took the team to a score of 127 runs scoring 23 and 13 runs respectively. Dhawal Kulkarni and Pravin Tambe took 2 wickets each for the Royals.

Royals had a good chance of making it 4 out of 4 as the target was quite achievable. Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson gave the team a start of 64 runs in 10 overs. Samson after scoring 26 runs lost his wicket. Ravi Bopara was the man to break the partnership. Steve Smith failed to score much as he lost his wicket after scoring only 13 runs. Karn Sharma was the man who took the wicket. Bopara struck once again to take the wicket of Karun Nair but it was too late for Hyderabad. Rahane didn’t allow the team to have a grip in the match as he lost his wicket after scoring 62 runs. At the end it was Struart Binny and James Faulkner who made sure that Rajasthan crossed the line to make it 4 out of 4.  The game turned out to be interesting one as the match moved towards 1 run required from the last ball but Faulkner dispatched it to the boundary.

Ravi Bopara won the yes bank maximum sixes award for hitting the longest six. Naman Ojha won the HotStar award for the catch of Naman Ojha while Ajinkya Rahane won the man of the match award.
