England will be playing against Ireland in the two one day match series in the year 2017. The Pommies riding high on the success of ODIs are going to pose tough questions to the Irish team. Bowling attack would be spearheaded by Ben stokes who can be handful for any opposition on his day. English batsmen with the likes of Joe root and Alex hales would be raring to go against the Irish opposition lock, stock and barrel. As a touring side, Ireland will have to do exceptionally or else the hosts can walk all over them.
T0o start with, the bowling should be absolutely spot on with no loose deliveries on offer. It will help to curb the scoring rate and may go a long way in making the match interesting. William Portfield as a captain will be shouldering the middle order responsibilities so that the team could post a decent score on the board. In addition, right arm bowler Andy Mcbrine can create problem for the opposition. Option for the spin will help the Ireland to counter the guile of Moin Ali.
As far as Wicket keeping is concerned, Gary Wilson has to be razor sharp behind the stumps because any leave of stokes and root can prove quite costly for the Irish team. On the batting front the minnows need to find ways to tackle Steve fin because he has the capability to take wickets in the initial over, thereby creating problems for the opposition batting. His deliveries at an awkward length are quite difficult to negotiate; therefore Irish openers will have to be quite circumspect so that they do not lose wickets.
Lower middle order of the tourists seems to be formidable as it has the where wherewithal to deliver the goods without any hassles and score some quick runs.
