England would be touring India in 2016 for playing five test match series. It will be a battle royal as both teams play fiercely competitive cricket. Last time when both nationals locked horns England came out trumps and won the series 2-1.
Broad and Anderson would be crucial in the scheme of things to take the wickets early on. They are known exponents of swing bowling and any juice in the pitch can be exploited by them. Indians on their part should make sure that they do not give wickets to the duo. KL Rahul and Dhawan have to rise to the occasion and see off the new ball before they launch attack on the spinners.
Virat Kohli will be anchoring the innings along with Ajinkya Rahane to provide stability to the middle order. Indian batting line up looks formidable and under home conditions, it will be hard to dislodge for the tourists.
English team looks weak in the spin department as Moin Ali doesn’t seem to have the wherewithal to take wickets in the test matches. Ashwin along with Shami will have to spearhead the attack from the Indian side and make sure that Stokes and Co does not run away with the game.
With exceptional line and length, the host bowlers would be looking to block the scoring rate of the tourists and make sure that they are not able to post a big total on the board. In addition, the batsmen especially Pujara may need to play long innings to justify the selection or else it could prove to be the end of his international batting career.
England will not find it easy to upstage the mighty Indian batting because they do not have the services of a quality off spinner like Graeme as the last time.
