Barbados Tridents wins the final match of the League stage with a huge margin - The last and the final league match of the Caribbean Premiere League featured the Barbados Tridents and the Jamaican Tallawahs. This was the last game in the group stage and both the teams had already qualified for the final stages of the league. After winning the toss the Barbados Tridents decided to bat first. While batting first, the team had a slow start to the game. They scored only 35 runs in the 1st 6 overs losing the wicket of Dwayne Smith. He scored 32 runs before he lost his wicket. Soon the Tridents faced yet another shocked as they lost two quick wickets and were struggling at 57/3 after 9 overs. Later it was a total Kieron Pollard show. He made sure that his team had all the chance in the final league match. He smashed a 36 ball 63 runs and helped his team reach 175 runs at the end of 20 overs. This was a score which once could have never been imagined. Rusty Theron took 4 wickets in the innings.

The Tallawahs needed 176 to win the game and go top of the table. They lost 2 wickets in the 1st 3 overs of the game and were pushed back in the game from the start of the innings. Nkrumah Bonner and Adam Voges handled the game a bit but in the start of the 8th over Voges lost his wicket after scoring 10 runs. What followed was a shock for everyone on the field. The Tallawahs experienced a crash as all the batsmen lost their wicket cheaply. Only Bonner scored 47 runs for his team apart from it all the batsmen were bowled out cheaply as the whole team was bowled out in the 16th over of the game. They managed to score only 87 runs thus the Tridents won the match by a good margin. Kieron Pollard was named as the man of the match.
