Jamaica Tallawahs win another match with a clinical performance - In the 16th match of the Caribbean Premiere League the Jamaica Tallawahs came against the Antigua Hawksbills. The Hawksbills in the tournament are running out of form and were still looking for their 1st win in the tournament. After winning the toss the Tallawahs decided to field first. The Hawksbills found scoring runs difficult in front of a inform bowling line-up. In the first 6 overs the Hawksbills lost 2 wickets scoring only 34 runs. The fall of wickets didn’t stop here as the next 3 overs saw fall of 3 more wickets by scoring only 7 runs. Ben Dunk scored 23 runs the top scorer from the top order while the others were unable to reach the double figure mark. Later Carlos Brathwaite and Sheldon Cottrell were the players who took the score ahead. The 15th over of the match saw a rain interruption which brought down the match to a 17 over a side match and the Hawksbills finished the innings at 89 runs. Jerome Taylor took 4 wickets and Nikita Miller took 3 wickets for their side in setting up a good bowling performance.

This was a cake walk of a run chase for a team that was high on form and has almost made it to the next round. The Tallawahs had a 44 run partnership for the 1st wicket. In the 8th over of the innings the Hawksbills were able to take the 1st wicket in the form of Chadwick Walton. The main role played in the chase was by Chris Gayle. He scored 59 runs and was unbeaten till the end. The Tallawahs were successful in chasing down the total in just 14 overs. With this win the Tallawahs earned the all-important 2 points. Jerome Taylor was named as the man of the match for his bowling performance.
