Steyn and du Plessis take their team to series win - The final of the Zimbabwe tri series was to be played between Australia and South Africa. Both the teams played some good matches that let them qualify for the final of the series. After winning the toss the South Africans decided to field first. The Australians didn’t get off to a god start as they kept losing wickets quite cheaply. The first 3 wickets fell at a score of 82 runs in just 19th over of the game. Mitchell Marsh and Aaron Finch tried to control the game but in the 29th over of the game Finch lost his wicket after scoring 54 runs. Marsh too lost his wicket after scoring 27 runs. James Faulkner played an important role in the game as he scored 40 runs while Mitchell Starc scored 29 runs. These two players managed to take their teams to the score of 217 runs in 50 overs. Dale Steyn was the main bowler for the South Africans as he took 4 wickets giving away only 35 runs.

Steyn managed to set the match well for South Africa and it was taken on well by Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis. They together built up the innings well for them. Amla scored 51 runs and lost his wicket in the 22nd over leaving his team at a score of 112/2. Later AB de Villiers joined in du Plessis. This was a golden run series for Faf du Plessis as he scored 96 runs in the final adding up the tally of runs in the series. De Villiers scored 57 runs in the match as South Africans chased down the total in just 41st over. Dale Steyn was named as the man of the match. With this the South Africans won the series thus completing the tour of Zimbabwe with a win.
