Delhi Daredevils suffered their 9 defeats in a row as they lost yet again against Kings XI Punjab who are dominating the tournament from the very beginning. It was a very low scoring match at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali as Delhi only managed to put up a score of 115 runs on their board batting first by losing all the wickets. Only DD skipper played a moral innings of 58 runs of 41 balls against the out of the ordinary bowling attack of KXIP. Sadly no other batsman of DD supported him through his innings as the other entire player failed to cut across twenty runs.

Each and every bowler of Punjab claimed wicket against Daredevils, among them Parvinder Awana bowled an extra ordinary spell by taking two wickets with the economy rate of 5.00. Akshar Patel, Mitchell Johnson, Karanveer Singh each of them claimed 2 wickets also.

Chasing 116 runs in a T20 match is one of the easiest thing to do in this kind of format and with the batting line up like KXIP. As usual Virender Sehwag and Manan Vohra opened the innings for Punjab but Sehwag fell too early by just scoring 9 runs. Anyway Power-hitter-young-talent Manan Vohra kept on hitting the balls as he scored 47 runs in 38 balls.

Glenn Maxwell really lost his momentum after starting the tournament with some murderous innings as he went for duck by just playing 3 balls but David Miller did the rest of the job with a 34-ball 47 knock and they will be playing the qualifier 1 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Garden.

It is nearly impossible  to defend 115 runs in any venue of a T20 match, especially against a team, who are in top of the points table. However, DD bowlers was able to claim 3 of the wickets of KXIP. Mohammed Shami, Jaydev Unadkat and Imran Tahir shared those 3 wickets equally. Manan Vohra was given the Man of the Match in the 55th venue of IPL 7.
