Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Delhi Daredevils by eight wickets at Feroz Shah Kotla in Duckworth-Lewis method while the match was highly affected by rain. Earlier in the game Hyderabad won the toss and sent Delhi to bat first at their home ground. Kevin Pietersen (C) the man out of form came to open the innings for DD with Quinton de Kock, but Delhi lost the early wicket of de Knock (7 of 12 balls) while Pietersen showed some class of his. He scored 35 runs in just 19 balls, that would be a consolation for Delhi as their skipper KP got back some sort of his form. Well after that Mayank Agarwal played a valuable knock of 25 runs of 18 balls but he was taken by Amit Mishra when DD was looking strong. Anyway Dinesh Karthik (W) and Laxmi Shukla made a great partnership to put up a decent score on their board of 143 runs by losing 7 wickets while the match was disrupted by rain several times.

Moises Henriques, Amit Mishra and Dale Steyn did a brilliant job in the slog overs to restrict Delhi of such a low score in a compare to a T20 match, they shared 2 wickets each with decent economy rates. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also bowled a decent spell as he took 1 wicket by considering only 23 runs in his allotted 4 overs.

While chasing a not-so-big score in T20 format SRH lost the wicket Shikhar Dhawan (C), he went back to pavilion by just scoring 4 runs in 8 balls. After that yet again the match was stopped because of rain and the match reduced by 5 overs. SRH got a target of 117 runs to chase it down in 15 overs. But rain once again slowed down the game and Hyderabad was given 97 runs to put up on their board in 12 overs to win the match.

As well as the match didn’t go well after that also as rain came yet again to disrupt the match and SRH got a final target of 43 runs in five overs, to chase that run down SRH lost another wicket of Aaron Finch (4 of 7 ball) but David Warner (12 of 9 balls) and Naman Ojha (W) (13 of 3 balls) reached the target of 44 runs easily and won the important match for the to keep themselves in the race.

Well the only two wickets were taken by Rahul Shukla and Siddarth Kaul and SRH won the match with 4 balls left of their 5 overs.
