CHENNAI SUPER KINGS beat DELHI DAREDEVILS by 8 wickets as once again their opener gave a stunning performance. Once again M.S. Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first. Quinton de Kock and Murali Vijay opened the innings for DD steadily as they scored 24 of 16 balls and 35 of 30 balls respectively. However, The Daredevils skipper once again failed to perform as he went for duck by just playing 1 ball. Dinesh Karthik (51 runs of 36 balls), the big catch for Delhi played well against CSK. He scored a valuable half century to ensure a fighting total against CSK. Anyway, the South African stunner JP Duminy and Kedar Jadhav Produced some quick fire in slog overs as Duminy scored 28 runs of just 17 balls and Kedar supported him well with a 18-balls 29 runs steady knock. Well, with a team game DD got 178 runs on their board. Among the bowlers of CSK Ben Hilfenhaus, Mohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin shared 4 wickets equally.

While chasing a big score of 178 runs seemed nothing in front of CSK’s formidable batting line up. The star-duo for CSK this year, Dwayne Smith (79 of 51 runs) and Brendon McCullum (32 of 35 balls) made a strong platform for CSK in the very beginning. Suresh Raina also gave a steady performance as he scored a unbeaten 47 runs of 27 balls. Anyway, MS Dhoni as always scored the winning runs with style as he smashed a four to win the match for CSK. Wayne Parnell bowled a wonderful spell as he conceded 25 runs only and took 1 wicket when other bowlers of DD were so expensive. Laxmi Shukla also took one wicket but that was not enough to win the match against CSK.

Dwayne Smith was given Man of the Match Award and Maximum Sixes Award for hitting 8 sixes yet again as he gave a match winning performance for CSK. Laxmi Ratan Shukla got Kanna Keep Calm award.
