West Indies bowlers take the team to their second victory in the series - West Indies and Bangladesh came once again face to face in the One Day series at the St. Georges stadium. This was the 2nd match of the series and the home team was already leading the series 1-0 and a win in this would mean the series win for the West Indies. In this match the Bangladesh team after winning the toss decided to field first. The game started off with the visitors on the top of it. They made sure that the run scoring was not that easy for the home side. Kirk Edwards lost his wicket without even scoring a single run. After a subtle start Chris Gayle started off firing all cylinders and it seemed the storm is just about to destroy the visitors hope. Gayle after scoring 58 runs lost his wicket leaving his team to a score of 93/2 in 21.2 overs. Darren Bravo and Denesh Ramdin together handled the team and they scored 54 and 34 respectively. Lendl Simmons also played an important role as he scored 40 runs. They together took their team to a score of 247. Mashrafe Mortaza took 3 wickets in the match giving away only 39 runs.

Bangladesh team bowled pretty well to hold onto the home side but they faltered in the batting as the batsmen failed to apply themselves and lost their wicket. Tamim Iqbal was the only player who scored 37 runs. Apart from him no other batsmen in the team made it to the double figure mark in the score card. The whole team was bowled out at a score of 70 in just 24.4 overs. Kemar Roach took 3 wickets while Sunil Narine the mystery spinner took 3 wickets giving away only 13 runs. For his performance won the man of the match award. With this win the West Indies now leads the series by 2-0.
