Pollard and Ramdin saves West Indies from a humiliating defeat - Bangladesh and West Indies came face to face against each other in the 1st ODI match of the Bangladesh’s tour of West Indies.  The home side after winning the toss decided to field first. The opening batsmen Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haque together scored 41 runs before Iqbal lost his wicket after scoring 26 runs. After the fall of 1st wicket it was Anamul Haque who scored most of the runs for the team while the others just came and went as soon as they came. Anamul Haque scored 109 runs that were the highest by the Bangladeshi batsmen while Nasir Hossain accompanied him to score only 26 runs. All the rest of the middle order and lower order failed to support the team. They Bangladesh cricket team managed to score only 217 runs in the 1st innings after losing 9 wickets. Dwayne Bravo took 4 wickets in the match while Sunil Narine gave away only 29 runs in his 10 overs.

The second innings saw home side struggle at the start as they lost 2 quick wickets at the start of the innings. The 1st 10 overs saw West Indies lose Chris Gayle and Darren Bravo. The next 3 overs of the game saw the home side lose more 3 wickets. the home side was at 5-34 when Denesh Ramdin and Kieron Pollard came in to save the home side from losing the match. Ramdin scored 74 runs and Pollard scored 89 runs to take their team to a strong position in the match. Pollard lost his wicket leaving his team at a score of 201 runs. the match was finished by the brilliant batting by Jason Holder as he scored 22 runs. the West Indies team won the game by 3 wickets and 63 balls remaining. Kieron Pollard was named as the man of the match for his brilliant batting. Now after this win the West Indies leads the 3 match series by 1-0.
