Australia wins the last ODI by 1 run - The 3rd match of the Pakistan and Australia ODI series was played in Abu Dhabi. This was the last match of the series and Australia was already leading the series with 2-0. This match was much of a fight for respect for the home team. The Australians won the toss and decided to bat first in the match. Aaron Finch and David Warner gave the team a good start scoring 48 run in 10 overs. Finch after scoring 18 runs lost his wicket in the 11th over. Warner got a great companion in Steven Smith as they together took the team to a score of 102 in 21 overs. Warner after scoring 56 runs lost his wicket in the 22nd over. Soon Pakistan stuck with the 3rd wicket in the form of George Bailey. The Australian Middle order once again struggled as wickets kept falling. After reaching the score of 159 the team had already lost 6 wickets in the match. Steven Smith scored 77 runs which helped the team in reaching a score of 231 in 50 overs. Sohail Tanvir was the star bowler as he took 3 wickets.

The Pakistan innings started off with a solid start from the openers. Ahmed Shehzad after scoring 26 runs lost his wicket in the 12th over leaving his team at a score of 56/1. Sarfraz Ahmed the other opener after scoring 32 runs lost his wicket in the 18th over of the game leaving his team at 80/2. The Pakistan team then found Asad Shafiq and Sohaib Maqsood who scored 50 and 34 runs respectively to take their team to a score of 160/5 in 35 overs of the innings. The lower middle order of the team scored runs but at the same time struggled to score runs freely. The wickets kept falling and thus this disrupted the flow of game. At the end the team managed to score only 230 runs thus losing the match by a single run. The last ball saw the fall of last wicket and thus with this win the Australians ended up winning the series 3-0.  Glenn Maxwell was named as the man of the match.
