Warriors earlier were used to be called as ‘Eastern Cape’. This is another team which is a regular participant in the Ram Slam Tournament. Performance of the Warrior till now has been really fantastic as they have won the title one time and remained on second slot for the 3 seasons. In the very beginning of this tournament, i.e. back in the 2003-2004, they were runner up. In the year 2009-2010, they won the tournament by beating the Highveld Lions with a difference of 82 runs.
Warriors represent the city of East London and Port Elizabeth. Home ground of this team is St George's Park and Buffalo Park. Some of the promising players in this team include Ashwell Prince, Johan Botha, Wayne Parnell etc. Piet Botha will be the coach of this team and Davey Jacobs will lead the team from the front. Chevrolet is the official sponsor of this team. Warriors will play their first match of Ram Slam 2013-14 against the Chevrolet Knights at Buffalo Park, East London on 8th January.
