India registers their 1st Win of The Tournament Against Pakistan
WT20 super 10 stage started with the first match between the arch rivals India and Pakistan. It could not have been better way to start the tournament. It’s the rivalry between the two sides that has always made the fans go crazy. India in their opening match won the toss and decided to field first. Pakistan lost its 1st wicket early in the form of Kamran Akmal. The Pakistan team showed some maturity in the approach but soon the resistance failed in the pursuit of finding runs the wicket started falling. This pressure was created well by the Indian spinners especially by the leggie Mishra. Pakistan in the crunch game manages only a score of 130.
The openers provided India a solid start with a fifty run stand. Dhawan was first to go for his personal score of 30 while Rohit followed him soon. The out of form Yuvraj too didn’t last long and all was left for Kohli and Raina to do. The duo brought the wagon home very easily as India won their 1st match of this edition of WT20. Amit Mishra was the player of this match for his perfect bowling performance. With this win India ensured to keep its record intact of beating Pakistan in every world cup fixture.
